Sept 23 - 26 Multi-Cultural Seasonal Dances performance aimed at celebrating diversity presented by the Greater Lansing Ballet Company. As an educational tool for the local area school districts, special performances will be held on Friday, Sept 23, 2005 at 9:45 a.m. in East Lansing’s Hannah Community Center and Monday, Sept. 26, 2005 at 9:45 a.m. at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center. Performances will be geared toward a younger audience and will last for approximately one and a half hours. Prices for school performances are greatly reduced. Community performances will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005 at 7 p.m. in East Lansing’s Hannah Community Center located at 819 Abbot Rd. and on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Charlotte Performing Arts Center located at 378 State Street. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, $8 for children under 12, and can be purchased by calling the Greater Lansing Ballet Company at 517.372.9887. Aug to Feb 12, 2006 - The Detroit Historical Museum Exhibit, "Reflections: The Mary Wilson Supreme Legacy Collection," includes many costumes and memorabilia items. For details visit www.detroithistorical.org or call 313-833-1805. Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday.

Oct 21 – Lansing Branch NAACP 40th Annual Freedom Fund Dinner “Remembering the Niagara Movement – 100 years later” at the Holiday Inn South, 6820 S. Cedar St., Lansing, MI Guest speaker, Rev. Wendell Anthony, Pastor Fellowship Chapel and President Detroit Branch NAACP. Costs: $45.00 adult, $30.00 youth. Dinner 7 p.m. sharp. Call: (517) 484-9171.

Oct. 29 – Prayer & Brunch to help research and find a cure for diabetes and juvenile diabetes sponsored by the Int’l F & A M Masons & Order of Eastern Star district # 4 of Lansing. Ongoing Monthly Events

Every second Saturday of each month - General membership meeting of the Black Men Inc. of Greater Lansing at the Black Child & Family Institute, 835 W. Genesee St. @ Butler St. at 8 a.m. Everyone invited.

The Lansing Area African American Genealogical Society (LAAAGS) meeting held monthly on the Second Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the Michigan Library and Historical Center, 717 West Allegan (between Pine and Butler Streets), Lansing, Michigan. Public is invited.

Sunday's Smooth Ballroom Dancing Classes at Gregory's Ice and Smoke, 2510 N. Martin Luther King, Blvd., Lansing, MI. Music starts to play at 7 p.m. Everyone welcome.
